What does the Galaxy pen do?

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultras was the first S Series smartphone released with the embedded S-Pen stylus. Since then, each Ultra model has been released with an iconic accessory, which makes the Ultra models what they are.

The pen is kept inside the phone and when the phone is inside its compartment or being used, the phone still works perfectly regardless. If you own an Ultra model phone take a look at the bottom of the phone where the charging port is, to the left, you should see a small button type shape, press this and it should extend out of the phone, slowly pull the stick and the pen will slide out of the phone. To put it back into the phone, simply slide the S-Pen back in until you hear a click.

Is the Samsung S Pen useful?

Competitors like Apple sell their own ‘smart pen’ however it isn’t able to snugly fit inside the phone and comes at a separate price. The S-Pen also offers many other uses instead of a classic pen, the fact it can be used as a mic and camera shutter makes it great for productivity. Whilst this option is only available for the Ultra model we think it’s certainly a key indicator as to why you should upgrade to the Ultra. If the S-Pen was available with one of the other models we feel like it wouldn’t perform as well, because there would be less room inside the phone to store it.
